The lifeblood of the fraternity
Thank you for your interest in Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Iowa State University. SigEp is the nation’s largest fraternity with over 262,000 lifetime members including 14,000+ undergraduates on 260 college campuses around the United States. At Iowa State SigEp has been on campus since it’s founding on April 20th 1916 and in it’s current location at 228 Gray Ave. since the house was built in 1926. Currently SigEp has a strong presence on campus which includes members on IFC as well as other leadership roles around campus. We are consistently in the top 10 in grades and win intramural championships, since the Iowa Beta chapter strives to follow the balanced man ideals passed down by it’s founders.
Here is some basic information on our house:
- Top 10 GPA every semester
- Spring 08 – 3.02
- Fall 08 – 2.90
- Spring 09 – 3.18
- Fall 09 – 3.09
- House capacity is 38
- 2 person rooms with cold airs
- House renovation planning underway
- RESIDENTIAL LEARNING COMMUNITY
- Parking for all members living in
- 9 meals per week prepared by house cook
- Home to the 'Largest Table in Iowa' that seats over 40 people
- Coke products vending machine
- Brand new on-site laundry facilities (included in house bill)
- Computer Lab/Study Area with free printing
- Kitchen accessible 24 hours a day

- Balanced Man Scholarships for Iowa State freshman males
- Freshman may live in or out of the house
